What is a Vision Youthz Community Gathering?

Community Gathering brings together once a month young members of the community, people who work with youth, and interested volunteers. It is a safe space where different perspectives, cultures, and experiences are exchanged. The Gatherings are topic-oriented discussions or speak-outs about youth related issues from a youth perspective.

Every other month we incorporate a Knowledge Building component aimed at present and future volunteers. The training is Vision Youthz' version of teaching from an alternative perspective, using interactive activities and films. The goal is to enhance people's abilities to be successful teachers, mentors, or advocates for youth.

We meet every first Thursday of the month, with some exceptions. It is a potluck event and ALL are WELCOME!
